How long have you been involved with the SCGA Junior Golf Foundation? Approximately 10 years.
Do you have a golf club affiliation? Yes, Santa Ana Country Club.
If you couldn’t do what you would be doing now as a profession, you would be a? Owner of a small inn, in a ski town.
What does supporting junior golfer mean to you? Helping the next generation learn to love the game of golf and all the life lessons that come along with it.
A golfer’s journey:
How long have you been golfing for? Who introduced you to the game of golf? Since I was around 10 years old. My parents.
What is your favorite club in your bag and why? 56-degree wedge. Love what I am able to do with it.
You have a free round at any golf course in the world, which are you choosing? Augusta.
Dream foursome? Who’s in it and why? Tiger, John Daley … great golfers and the stories would be legendary.
What would you tell juniors to interest them in the game of golf? You will meet people that will become your best friends and business associates. It’s a sport for life… when you’re grown up at work you are not going to say to a client, “hey, let’s go play soccer” but you will say, “hey, let’s go grab some lunch and play hooky after on the golf course”
Beyond the Course:
What is something you wish more people knew about you? I’m an excellent chef.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received? Treat everyone you meet the same way you would like to be treated, because you will see people going down the ladder of life that you saw when you were going up it.
What song or book has significantly influenced your life, and in what way? Cats in the Cradle… made me realize the kind of father I wanted to be.
