SCGA President Steve Titus and SCGA Foundation Executive Director Kevin Gigax participate in event
The 2011 Los Angeles Chubb Charity Challenge was held last week at Hacienda GC with 13 teams competing in a 2 Low Net format tournament. Teams competed to earn money for their respective charities, with the winning team set to advance to the final round at the Ritz-Carlton, Naples, FL where they will compete for a share of over $560,000.
Agents Access Insurance, one of Chubb’s leading insurance managing general agencies since 1993, sponsored the SCGA Foundation team in the event. Despite not winning, the SCGA Foundation team walked away with $1,450 to support the education and character development of Southern California youth through golf. SCGA Foundation Executive Director Kevin Gigax, SCGA President Steve Titus and former SCGA Champion Bob Gross competed in the event for the SCGA Foundation along with Gary Golnick, President of Agents Access Insurance.
“Agents Access Insurance has been proud to participate in this wonderful event for the past 12 years, and we’re excited to be able to make a donation to a great organization like the SCGA Foundation,” said Golnick.
“Since 2000, Chubb Insurance Company has found a unique way of combining golf and good works in one event,” said Titus. “Each foursome designates a charity and the majority of that team’s entry fee goes to their charity with Chubb underwriting the cost of the event. I’m just sorry that our team didn’t have our ‘A’ games to make it to the national tournament where the money for the Foundation would have been sizeable.”
