The JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro on April 27 at Wilshire CC was a remarkable event attended by our juniors, their families and new friends! SCGA Junior curated an array of family-friendly activities, catering to both seasoned golfers and those just there for fun.
Attendees were welcomed with engaging activities, including a chipping game into colorful inflatable pool floaties, as well as opportunities to get SCGA Junior temporary tattoos, stickers, and buttons. A notable highlight was the free customized airbrushed hats and t-shirts to all children in attendance, adding a personal touch to the event and a keepsake to remember the day.
Through the generous support by Outlyr, SCGA Junior was able to distribute over 200 tickets to the Championship, allowing more than 400 adults and children from all ten SCGA Junior programming sites to join in the festivities. Additionally, complimentary transportation was provided, ensuring accessibility for all.
In addition to the SCGA Junior activation, our partners at Los Angeles Golf Club also had a presence in the family fun zone. Their dryvebox allowed kids and adults of all ages to take part in a closest to the hole challenge and were invited to participate in portrait style photobooth, shot by Ryan Thomas Murray.
Furthermore, all children enjoyed complimentary lunch courtesy of The Habit food trucks. The event concluded on a high note with a captivating clinic on the range led by Marvel Universe star, Kathryn Newton, providing the cherry on top to end an unforgettable day.
The JM Eagle LA Championship exemplified the spirit of community and enjoyment fostered by SCGA Junior and its partners. Whether one was a golf enthusiast or simply seeking a day of fun-filled activities, this event showcased the best of Southern California’s golf community.
