GAF scholar Andrew Rodriguez was invited to play in the AJGA Wyndham Invitational Presented by Odyssey. This was Andrew’s first AJGA Invitational, an exciting achievement as these events are some of the most elite junior tournaments in the country. Notable champions of the Wyndham Invitational include Blades Brown, Karl Vilips, Justin Thomas, and Brian Harman.
JGAF scholar Breanna Noble participated in the Nike Junior Invitational in Oregon. Breanna shot 80-75-75 at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course. PRGC has hosted multiple USGA Championships, including the 1996 U.S. Amateur where Tiger Woods was crowned the champion!
Five juniors attended The Congaree Global Golf Initiative in the scenic Lowcountry of South Carolina. This seven-day immersive experience provides underserved and well-deserving high school students who aspire to play collegiate golf access to the highest level of athletic coaching and academic tools to enhance their opportunities for success.
Through June 16, 199 unique juniors have participated in SCGA Junior’s Tournament Series. The Silver Tour powered by Roger Dunn Golf Shops by Worldwide Golf introduces juniors to the competitive golf scene while the Gold Tour powered by Lionsgate exposes juniors to higher-level competitive 18-hole events.
Junior and SCGA Foundation Scholar Leigh Chien will be competing in the upcoming 2024 U.S. Girls Junior Championship at El Caballero CC. Chein is ranked 8th in the AJGA standings and just won the Southwestern Amateur by six shots!
