The first official Play Day of 2025 was a huge success! Ten SCGA Juniors and ten members of Annandale Golf Club (AGC) teed off together for a day filled with great golf, mentorship and meaningful connections.

Thanks to SCGA Junior Golf Foundation Board Member Kevin Beggs, this marks the third year our juniors have had the opportunity to experience the beauty and challenge of Annandale GC—and it just keeps getting better.

Play Days are more than just a fun round of golf. They give juniors a unique chance to experience a private country club and connect with members who generously volunteer their time as hosts and mentors. From career advice to on-course tips, these moments are incredibly valuable for our youth.

This year, four of the ten junior participants were attending their very first Play Day. They especially enjoyed the calm and welcoming atmosphere of the driving range and left with not just a better swing, but insights into professional careers and life parallel to golf.

A big thank-you to Kevin Beggs, AGC Director of Golf Brian Bohlig, the club members, staff and parents who made this day possible. Your support helps shape lasting memories and valuable learning experiences for our juniors.
